What causes this error?      This error can occur if you have deleted one of the OS installed on your computer. For example, if you have both Windows and Linux installed on it and you have deleted the Linux partition, your computer may come up with this error. How to fix GRUB rescue error?  To fix Grub rescue mode error, you will need a windows installation CD/DVD. 1) Insert the installation CD /DVD in your disk drive and boot from it. Now a window as shown below will appear. 2) Click on Repair your computer. 3) In next window, click on Troubleshoot. 4) Select on Advanced. 5) Now select command prompt. 6) In the command prompt, type the following commands           bootrec /fixmbr          bootrec /fixboot          bootrec /rebuildbcd 7) Close the command prompt and restart your computer.

1) To install .NET 3.5 offline, you will need a windows 8 or 8.1 ISO file or setup disk. If you are having an ISO file, right-click on it and select Mount option.  If you are having a Windows setup disk, just insert the disk in your CD/DVD drive. 2) Search for Command Prompt and run as administrator. 3) Type the following command:      Dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /All /Source:E:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess Note: Replace  E:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess  with the letter of the drive. 4) Wait till the operation gets completed successfully. If this method fails, try installing .NET 3.5 online.

    Windows  8 or 8.1 comes with .NET 4.5 already installed on it. So when you try to install .NET 3.5 you will get an error message. To install  .NET 3.5 follow the steps given below. 1) Press and hold windows key + S to open search box. Search for windows features. 2) Select Turn Windows features on or off.  3)In the windows features click on .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 3.0 and 2.0) . and click OK. 4) Select Download files from Windows update. 5) Windows will download the required files and install .NET 3.5 on your computer. If the above method fails, try installing .NET 3.5 offline.
