What is OCR

OCR or optical character recognition is the conversion of printed or written text from an image or a scanned document by a computer to machine encoded text. Optical character recognition is now widely used for many purposes such as document scanning. Many advanced optical character recognition systems can read text with high accuracy, but still faces difficulty in recognising writtern text.
